He specializes in nineteenth- and twentieth-century American literature, film studies, and media archaeology. His articles have appeared or are forthcoming in Modernism/modernity, Journal of the Short Story in English, and Studies in American Naturalism. He has contributed and collaborated on commentary tracks for the Blu-ray/DVD release of Buster Keaton’s The Navigator (Kino Lorber) and for the Becoming Charley Chase DVD collection (VCI Entertainment).
