Rebecca Baker is a first-year PhD student in English at the CUNY Graduate Center. She holds an MA in English from Wake Forest University (Winston-Salem, NC) and a BA in English—with a minor in creative writing—from UNC Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC). Her research interests center around women’s writing, postcolonial studies, and Southern and ethnic American literatures; her current work is strongly influenced by psychoanalytic, postcolonial, and post-structural theory.
