Mentoring Future Faculty of Color Project

MoFFoCThanks to enthusiastic support, the Mentoring Future Faculty of Color Project (#MoFFoC)  is returning for a second season! This initiative aims to offer scholarly and professional mentorship to students of color in CUNY PhD Programs by bringing in faculty of color from a variety of U.S. universities to share both their scholarship and their experiences in navigating the academy.

Fri Jan. 31 @ 11:30am – Info session for new(er) students. MFFC is currently populated Level II and III students and we’d love to meet some more of you. If you’re interested in getting involved, please stop by! (8th floor dining commons – look for the MFFC sign)

Fri March 7 @ 2pm – Lecture by Nikhil Pal Singh, Associate Professor of Social and Cultural Analysis and History at New York University (Room TBA)

Fri April 25 @ 4pm – Lecture by Aliyyah Abdur-Rahman, Associate Professor of English and African and Afro-American Studies at Brandeis University (Room 4406, English lounge)

Fri May 2 @ 2pm – Lecture by Tina Campt, Professor of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies and Director of the Africana Studies Program at Barnard College (Room TBA)
