Sydnee Wagner is an English PhD student at The Graduate Center, CUNY, focusing on early modern literature. Her research interests include critical race theory, gender and sexuality studies, affect theory, and biopolitics, all of which influence her dissertation project on the figure of the Gypsy and the recovery of Romani lives in early modern English literature and culture. In addition to her scholarship, Sydnee is also a published poet, with work featured in literary magazines such as Drunken Boat and Quail Bell.
