Iris Cushing grew up in northern California and lives in Queens. Her first collection of poems, Wyoming, won the 2013 Furniture Press Poetry Prize. Her poems and criticism have appeared in the Boston Review, Hyperallergic, BOMBlog, Jacket, Two Serious Ladies and Paperbag, among other places.
