I’m so happy to be part of the CUNY community! It allows me to pursue simultaneous work in American Studies and composition/rhetoric from within an English department. I’m writing my dissertation on Sixties girl groups and how, via rhetoric, embodied experience, homage, and appropriation, they influenced White and mostly male artists who came after them. I’m also thrilled to be teaching comp at Queens College.

I have an MA from NYU’s John W. Draper Interdisciplinary Master’s Program in Humanities and Social Thought, and a BA in English and Philosophy from Williams College. In my spare time, I love to kickbox, write, teach and practice yoga, sing rock songs, and wander in Brooklyn.
