- Introductions and committee reports.
- Tidying up the Lounge. As per Nancy Silverman’s request, we will be planning to begin tidying up the ESA lounge and library around 6 pm, right before the ESA meeting. Anyone who has anything of value stored in the ESA lounge (behind the boundary and the back of the program lounge) should claim those items. Folks can absolutely use the space for the continued storage of ESA related stuff, but they should let us know it’s there to stay so that we don’t get rid of it.
Discussion:
- What do people think about proposing a motion to change the by-laws so that they specify how elections should run? In May, we talked about limiting the nominations students can accept to two. This might encourage people only to run for committees that they really want to serve on and it would make it easier for the elections committee to organize the results.
- What should we put up on the new ESA corkboard in the lounge? Possibilities include but are not limited to: flyers for student events, a print out of the by-laws, ESA committees members’ names and pics, meeting agendas and meeting minutes, roles of committees, union info. If we decide to use the board for short-term information, who will be responsible for removing flyers when they are out of date?
- Review of budgetary matters. How much money do we want to spend on revels? Do we want to continue to spend a large portion of the budget on this? How could or would the money otherwise be spent?
