BLACK LIVES: 2019 ESA Conference Website and Deadline Extension

FROM RYAN TRACY

After much behind-the-scenes planning, we have some important announcements regarding this year’s ESA conference, Black Lives.

We are extending the deadline for paper proposals to January 30. So please submit a proposal if you haven’t yet, and also pass along the CFP to your colleagues, students, and to any programs you know.

Second, we are excited to confirm our two keynotes, Michelle Wright (Emory) and Rafael Walker (Baruch). We anticipate fascinating talks from each of these scholars, and we are thrilled to invite them to our campus for the conference.

Lastly, all information regarding the conference can be found at the conference website. (CFP can be found there.) Please feel free to check it for updates as the conference progresses.

Thanks to the members of the conference planning committee (Makeba, Shoumik, Dan, Leilani), who have worked to get the conference to this point. And thanks to all of you for helping to get the word out.

Here’s to a rejuvenating New Year!
